A Bronze Package should be carried out when you require a quick inexpensive fix.

A Silver Package should be carried out generally between 1 to 2 years

A Gold package should be carried out generally between 2 to 5 years.

I have to stress that with Yamaha instruments it may be advisable to reduce these time scales. Whilst Yamaha are very good their screws and rods are very prone to rusting if not cleaned and oiled regularly. ( its the reaction sweat and their grade of metal ).

If regular maintenance is not carried out on Yamaha instruments the rods and screws can rust causing the the keys to seize up. This can mean an expensive repair to free them often resulting in having to drill out the screw.

Bronze Package: instrument brought up to Good Playing Condition-pads adjusted and mechanism regulated. Personally tested. 

Silver Package: instrument stripped down- body and keys cleaned- up to 5 pads replaced all other pads re-located- springs re-tensioned -mechanism oiled and regulated- and old cork and felts replaced (does not include new cork on clarinet joints) Personally tested

Gold Package: instrument stripped down and cleaned-all pads replaced-all cork and felts replaced - springs re-tensioned - mechanism oiled and regulated. Personally tested.

Platinum Package: Same as Gold plus Silver Plating of keys and Gold Lacquering of Saxophones were applicable.
